Think of your usual tourism campaign. This is not it. When easyJet and Visit Britain wanted to entice young Europeans to visit Great Britain for a city break - just as Brexit became official -
we knew there was only one thing to do: apologise.
Whether it’s a library that’s a bit quiet, a pub that’s a bit old-fashioned or an ancient monument that’s a bit old, like true Brits, we apologised for the things we shouldn’t and reminded Europe of one of our more endearing qualities. The campaign ran in print, DOOH and social in Germany, the Netherlands, France, Italy and Spain.
